Armed Security Officer Orlando Area Part time

About the role

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to become part of our exceptional team. The selected individual will work part-time to protect our client's premises, assets, and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence, prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions, and maintain access control into the property. The selected individual will be doing rounds, scanning in different points throughout the property in the housing contract. The Armed Officer needs to be prompt with patrolling the community to make sure everything is safe. This position is in the Orlando Area.

Schedule & Location

• Orlando Area 32822: Saturday and Sunday 9pm to 5am
• Orlando Area 32811: Saturday and Sunday 9pm to 5am; Tuesday 4:30pm to 9pm

Responsibilities

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents
• Report writing skills required

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
• Valid D and G security license (needs to be active with both security licenses)
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Must have your own weapon
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detain orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Detailed report writing

Pay

Base Rate: $19.01 hourly
