Armed Security Officer License Required

Overview

International Protective Service, Inc., an Allied Universal® company, is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join its team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the facilities they protect.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licenses required may vary by state and/or local laws and regulations
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
• Minimum six (6) months security, law enforcement, military, or corrections experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports; able to effectively convey information to the public, client representatives, and fellow employees
• Able to complete all range qualifications and functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or protective service related field
• Prior Armed experience
• Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections experience
