This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Security Officer - Justice Building Flex in Las Vegas, NV, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, in accordance with applicable laws and site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations to site management.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or armed security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.22 / hour
