Armed Security Officer Job in Eugene, Oregon

About the Role

Security Services Northwest, Inc. is hiring armed contract security officers for assignments in Eugene, Oregon. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with pay up to $40 per hour. Military or law-enforcement experience is required. Applicants must possess a current Oregon armed security professional certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, sabotage, fire, accidents, and other unlawful activity
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols
• Monitor activity and perform surveillance duties
• Control access to designated areas
• Provide safety escorts when requested
• Use company-provided communication equipment
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally
• Complete daily activity and incident reports
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Follow assigned post orders and properly wear the issued uniform

Qualifications

• Current Oregon armed security professional certification
• Previous military or law-enforcement experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Clean background check and driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone capable of running scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting applications
• Ability to work swing, graveyard, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during stressful situations
• Honesty, integrity, and professional communication skills

An EMT background is considered a plus, and reserve police officers are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

• Conduct regular walking patrols
• Stand for approximately 8–12 hours
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
