Armed Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with the protection of merchandise, assets, and property in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
