Armed Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and/or parking areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas; verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain required records, and support the professional handling of security-related operations in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
