Armed Security Officer Full Time

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Antioch, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a utilities location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to utility location personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and critical utility infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable post orders and armed patrol procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Proficiency in using security equipment such as handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton.
• Strong customer service skills.
