Armed Security Officer - Full time Afternoon

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and employee entrances; verify authorized access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Pay

$22.00 per hour.
