Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable laws, remaining prepared to address security-related concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
