Armed Security Officer Elite Patrol Driver

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking an Armed Security Officer Elite Patrol Driver in Plano, TX. In this full‑time position you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as retail and malls, conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for customers and team members. The role requires a valid driver’s license and a Texas Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, and vendor activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while complying with applicable laws, company policies, and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws; may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$25.00 per hour

• Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• Thursday: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• Friday: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• Saturday: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• Sunday: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
