About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public-serving government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism in an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter spaces to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support a welcoming environment for patrons, employees, and visitors by giving directions, addressing routine concerns, and documenting security-related incidents and/or daily activities.

Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
