Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As an Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Driver in Reno, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$26.15 / Hour

Schedule

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.

Day/Time: Monday 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of activity throughout assigned locations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
