Armed Security Officer - Day Shift Patrol

As an Armed Security Officer - Day Shift Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail/mall environments. This is a part‑time position where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security‑related concerns, and support a welcoming experience for visitors and tenants, using strong communication and customer service skills while working with integrity and teamwork as part of Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative team and caring culture that puts people first.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, parking areas, tenant spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.86 per hour
