Armed Security Officer - Day Shift

Job Description

As a Part-Time Security Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement when needed for an armed post.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, access issues, and/or potential policy violations, and report findings according to site procedures.
• Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and incident response during busy shopping periods, special events, and/or closing procedures while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
