About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution in Aurora, CO, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a professional environment while responding to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
