Armed Security Officer

Role Overview Seeking an armed security professional to ensure safety and security at a healthcare facility. Responsibilities include conducting patrols of hospital buildings and grounds, managing access control, overseeing visitor management, and directing traffic flow. Respond to emergencies and security incidents as a first responder, collaborating with law enforcement, and providing protective escorts. Observe, investigate, and document safety threats through interviews, incident reports, and dispatch operations. Manage property control procedures, safeguarding and releasing items according to protocols. Qualifications & Skills Must hold required armed security credentials, including FOID, PERC, FCC, and certified firearms training (28+ hours), with firearm proficiency.Valid driver’s license from Illinois, Wisconsin, or Indiana with an acceptable driving record.Ability to work in physically demanding roles involving standing, walking, weather exposure, and wearing body armor.High school diploma or GED; hospital security experience preferred. IAHSS certification to be obtained within 6 months.Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and strong customer service skills.
