Armed Security Officer

About the role

The Armed Security Officer position is crucial for maintaining a secure environment for clients. This role involves routine site patrols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Routine site patrols both on foot and in vehicle
• Check for safety and security threats
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations
• Escalate and use force if necessary
• Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community
• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized or suspicious activity
• Screen all persons coming through public entrances
• Prevent prohibited items from entering the facility
• Maintain surveillance systems and utilize site equipment and technology

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record
• Minimum 2 years armed security, law enforcement, or military experience required
• Standard computer / technology skills needed
• Pass IPAT evaluation
• Strong customer service skills
