Armed Security Officer

About the role

The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently, our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information as needed and serve as a physical deterrent on site.

Responsibilities

• Routine site patrols both on foot and in vehicle checking for safety and security threats.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations where appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
• Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community.
• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized or suspicious activity, emergency situations, etc.
• Screen all persons coming through public entrances preventing any prohibited items from entering the facility.
• Maintain surveillance systems and utilize site equipment and technology.
• Must meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for security officers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's license and clear driving record.
• Minimum 2 years armed security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Calm, polite, and professional behavior.
• IPAT evaluation required.
• Strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
