Armed Security Officer

About the role

The Armed Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of customers, employees, and property. This includes patrolling the store premises, monitoring surveillance footage, and responding to any security-related incidents or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the store premises to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and property.
• Monitor surveillance footage and respond to any security-related incidents or emergencies.
• Enforce store policies and procedures, including those related to theft prevention and loss prevention.
• Aid in the investigation of thefts and other security-related incidents.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience as a security guard or in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with security systems and equipment.
• Active security and armed security licenses required.
• Own firearm (9mm, .40, .45 only) must be provided.
• Open availability and willingness to travel to multiple locations are required.
