About the role
Secure the clinical environment by maintaining a highly visible, armed presence to deter violence and provide an immediate, expert response to life-safety threats.
De-escalate high-tension situations using advanced communication and tactical positioning to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.
Govern the facility’s emergency response by leading coordinated actions during critical incidents, ensuring all security interventions prioritize the preservation of life.
Audit safety infrastructure and report on security hazards, ensuring that the physical environment remains a fortified yet welcoming space for healing.
Document critical incidents with precision, providing the legal and operational clarity required for high-level risk management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Secure the clinical environment by maintaining a highly visible, armed presence to deter violence and provide an immediate, expert response to life-safety threats.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Security Guard obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Law Enforcement preferred.
Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
Security Professional preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Preferences
- A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in a security, military, or law enforcement role, preferably within a healthcare or high-traffic service environment.
