Armed Security Officer Active Clearance Part Time

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver with Active Clearance in Culpeper, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as aerospace and defense. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment while combining professional communication, customer service, and response readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry while maintaining awareness of restricted areas and sensitive operations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

CPR certification and pepper spray certification are preferred.

Pay

$27.76 per hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
