Armed Security Guard with Security Clearance

About the role

Shields Point LLC has a dynamic opportunity for part-time Armed Guards in support of the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Mead Nevada. Armed Guards maintain the safety and security protocols, safeguard personnel, property and assets within the designated premises. The position includes 8/12 hour shifts on days, nights, and weekends. Provides access control.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner
• Communicate professionally with the customer, employees, and visitors
• Perform other duties as directed

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• At least 21 Years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate
• Pass a medical examination, drug screen, federal background investigation when required
• Two or any reasonable combination of the following: Three years of experience in the security industry, military, or law enforcement. Associate degree or completion of twenty-four college credits. Active, retired or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve. Graduation from a law enforcement basic academy.
• Successfully complete all training, including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid, and expandable baton
• Fluently speak, read, and comprehend English
• Clearly articulate complex concepts
• State Guard License required
• State Driver License required

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a medical examination, drug screen, federal background investigation when required
• Must possess good communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts
