About the role
As an Armed Security Guard Train Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver professional customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency personnel and/or site representatives as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and assist with access control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
