What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, access control, and other property-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity while verifying credentials, enforcing site rules, and reporting suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and/or policy violations.
- Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with post orders and company policy, maintaining professional readiness, sound judgment, and detailed incident reporting throughout the shift.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
- Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing Requirements
Subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Industry-Specific Security Training Programs
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Other Requirements
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
