Security Guard Armed Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public sector partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support emergency and routine operations by providing visible presence, assisting with crowd and/or traffic direction when needed, and completing required reports related to daily activities and incidents.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
