Armed Security Guard - Public Sector
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
