About the role
As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation procedures and coordinating with designated personnel and emergency responders.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
- Thursday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
- Sunday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
