Armed Security Guard - Driver

As an Armed Security Guard - Driver in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with riders and staff, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal procedures for armed assignments.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Qualifications

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of firearms and relevant laws.
