Armed Security Guard

About the Role

Join our team as an Armed Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding federal personnel, facilities, and assets at a U.S. Government site. Responsibilities

• Protect government personnel, visitors, facilities, and property
• Control access to secured areas through credential verification and visitor screening
• Conduct patrols and inspect facilities to identify potential security risks
• Monitor and respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity
• Enforce security procedures, federal regulations, and site-specific post orders
• Respond professionally and effectively to incidents and emergency situations
• Maintain situational awareness and operational readiness at all times
• Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed reports of security activities and incidents
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a strong security presence

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
• Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English
• Approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
• Must not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid NC driver’s license and able to operate SUV style vehicles
• Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization
• Current CPR certification through the American Red Cross
• Ability to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army
