Responsibilities
- Protect personnel, facilities, equipment, and government assets
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to deter and detect security threats
- Perform access control and visitor screening functions
- Enforce security procedures, post orders, and operational directives
- Monitor assigned areas for suspicious activity and unauthorized access
- Prepare incident reports, logs, and required documentation
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents
- Interact professionally with government personnel, contractors, visitors, and the public
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- Able to speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English
- Must have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration
- Must not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Minimum of two years’ experience, preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization
- Must pass a drug test and medical evaluation exam
- Must successfully meet PAT physical agility standards (1.5 mile run under 17:30 and 19 push-ups under 2 minutes)
- Must successfully complete and pass the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory)
- Must complete the company-provided 160-hour NSGTC course and qualify with both pistol and rifle
