Armed Security Guard

Position Overview

Shields Point LLC is seeking part-time Armed Guards to support the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Phoenix, Arizona.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security protocols.
• Safeguard personnel, property, and assets within designated premises.
• Provide access control.
• Perform day, night, and weekend foot patrols.
• Monitor and assess alarms.
• Write reports.
• Protect government personnel and property.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Communicate professionally with customers, employees, and visitors.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• U.S. Citizen.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
• Pass a medical examination, drug screen, and federal background investigation when required.
• Two or more years of experience in the security industry, military, or law enforcement.
• Associate degree or completion of twenty-four college credits.
• Active, retired, or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve.
• Graduation from a law enforcement basic academy.
• Successfully complete all training, including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid, and expandable baton.
• Fluently speak, read, and comprehend English.
• Possess good communication skills to articulate complex concepts.
• State Guard License required.
• State Driver License required.

Pay

$20.05 per hour.
