Armed Security Guard

About the role

Description Shields Point LLC has a dynamic opportunity for full-time Armed Guards in support of the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Mead Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security protocols, safeguard personnel, property and assets within the designated premises.
• Provide access control.
• Perform patrol duties.
• Monitor alarms and assess situations.
• Write reports.
• Protect government personnel and property.
• Respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
• Professionally communicate with the customer, employees, and visitors.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• At least 21 Years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate
• Able to pass a medical examination, drug screen, federal background investigation when required
• Must have two or any reasonable combination of the following:
• Three years of experience in the security industry, military, or law enforcement.
• Associate degree or completion of twenty-four college credits
• Active, retired or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve
• Graduation from a law enforcement basic academy
• When required, successfully complete all training, including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid, and expandable baton
• Possess good communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts
• State Guard License required
• State Driver License required

Pay

Pay rate: $22.13 per hour
