Job Summary

Protect the principal against possible threats in federal buildings. Responsibilities include access control, monitoring security equipment, and providing detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents
• Use magnetometer and X-ray machines
• Communicate using two-way radios
• Perform CPR or first aid as needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained according to contract requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Able to obtain suitability/clearance
• A United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with honorable discharge from the US Armed Forces
• Minimum of two years of security experience or one year of law enforcement experience
• Fluent in English, able to compose written reports
• Qualify with a revolver or semi-automatic firearm
• Strong knowledge of the security industry
• Educated to high school diploma level
• Tri-annual refresher training and MEB certification required
• Initials weapon training and DHS suitability required

Physical Demands

• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping
• Contact with general public, law enforcement, and dispatch center
• Ability to remain alert and alert for up to 12 hours
• Ability to subdue violent or potentially violent individuals
