Armed Officer

About the role

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol client sites to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Enforce rules and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers.
• Serve as a physical deterrent to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment.
• Report findings and incidents accurately and promptly.
• De-escalate situations and maintain calm and professional behavior.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Above average computer and technology skills.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of security screening protocols.
• 6 months+ experience in level 2 or level 3 capacity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Pay

• Level 2 Officer Wage: $19.50/HR
• Level 3 Officer Wage Range: $22.00-$24.00/HR

Schedule

• Variety of shifts available, including day, evening, and night shifts.
