Responsibilities
- Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
- Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff, fostering a positive and secure environment.
- Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
- Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.
Requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid firearms license or certification required.
- Active PERC and FOID card required.
- Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
- Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Tues & Wed: 2pm–10pm
- Thurs & Fri: 7:30am–4pm
- Sat: 7:30am–3pm
- Flexibility required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
