Armed Field Supervisor - North Charleston, SC

Available Shift: Friday–Sunday, third shift, every other weekend.

About the role

The Field Supervisor for Walden Security manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities of all assigned Security Officers at the field level. This role executes tasks related to maintaining prescribed standards in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Other duties may be assigned by the Field Manager or Operations Manager.

Provides the first line of supervision during hours when an Operations Staff member is not on duty. Works as an armed, uniformed officer and is legally authorized to carry a firearm in applicable states and/or locations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Branch-assigned posts and accounts using a company-provided vehicle.
• Make decisions in compliance with Walden policies, including relieving security officers violating rules, regulations, or procedures.
• Supervise all posts and security officers, including Roving patrols, by randomly visiting posts/accounts and performing inspections.
• Conduct inspections of posts and Security Officers for compliance with Post Orders, Walden procedures, and general post knowledge.
• Assist in on-the-job training for newly assigned security officers as necessary.
• Respond to building/facility alarms, bank alarms, and ATM alarms as required.
• Address urgent client needs or requests for service changes.
• Report matters requiring immediate attention to the Field Manager or Operations Manager.
• Record daily events on the Daily Inspection Report (DIR) for review by management.
• Fill open posts during shifts with off-duty security officers or work the shift until a qualified officer is scheduled.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Warn or expel violators of rules, including loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Register at watch stations to record inspection trips and contracted random inspections.
• Maintain working knowledge of Specific and General Post instructions, as well as emergency post instructions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum of 25 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check.
• At least 3 years of security experience.
• Prior Security Supervisor experience.

Pay

$20–$20 USD per hour.
