Area Technology Engineer

About the role

Coordinate the project from design to launch, managing activities such as design, line layouts, capital procurement, equipment programming, setup, and training. Interact with customers and suppliers as required. Establish appropriate inventory levels for all cutting tools and perishable work holding in stockroom and SMED area. Improve and support operations by developing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes to meet or exceed established metrics.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain process documentation
• Apply proper geometric dimensions and tolerances to product documentation and designed components

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods
• Utilize knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities
• Implement lean concepts
• Experience in grinding, balancing, and drilling operations
• Work with automation and logic
• Design and implement solutions

Requirements

• Proficient in CNC machine operation, setup, and programming
• Computer skills, CAD/CAM including GD&T
• Experience in grinding, balancing, and drilling operations
• Automation, logic, mechanical, design, and implementation experience

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and evaluate manufacturing methods
• Knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities
