About the role
Oversee and provide leadership to the daily operation of Park Services including direction for Team Members, Guests, and interdepartmental partners. Monitor the operation to ensure Guest and Team Member safety, positive Guest interactions, park cleanliness, and proper usage of equipment and chemicals. Accountable for daily labor budgets, scheduling, show quality, regulatory compliance, and development in assigned area(s).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation to ensure proper staffing, efficiencies, and Guest service standards are met.
- Update route sheets according to park attendance.
- Provide work direction to Team Members to ensure departmental Standard Operating Procedures are upheld and all equipment is operated within the appropriate safety guidelines.
- Respond to Guest and operational issues, communicate with various operational partners, and act as the first responder to operational and Guest situations.
- Oversee the upkeep of daily/weekly/monthly cleanliness tracking/rating documents and reports.
- Ensure the safety of Guests and Team Members by reviewing and revising safety practices and procedures and respond to potentially unsafe conditions.
- Perform all operational duties related to the daily opening and closing of the resort including checklists, paperwork for operational readiness, and safety.
- Inspect the work environment to ensure each location has proper supplies/stock and is clean and organized.
- Schedule daily break and lunch periods to ensure appropriate coverage of positions.
- Coach and use feedback forms to document and maintain safe Team Member actions in accordance with Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) policy.
- Develop, coach, and train Park Services Team Members.
- Manage daily labor budgets for assigned venues and mitigate overtime by adjusting staffing according to daily attendance projections.
- Create venue schedules for Assistant Manager approval, incorporating availability, meetings, classes, and various training programs.
- Monitor, track, and record overtime and training projections and results.
- Analyze and respond to various reports including Guest comments and incident reports.
- Focus on Guest and Team Member satisfaction by ensuring each Team Member meets UDX service standards and assists Guests while maintaining an efficient, safe, and pleasant environment.
- Ensure Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) and Guest Service (GSAT) initiatives and programs are followed to keep the workplace fun while increasing overall job satisfaction and efficiency.
- Maintain positive relationships and partner with other departments to ensure departmental goals are met while maintaining standards.
- Maintain the quality, cleanliness, and facility maintenance standards to ensure the resort is “Show Ready” for Guests at all times and in back-of-house areas for Team Members.
- Assist with projects, initiatives, and sustainment efforts as directed.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of leadership experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
- Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.
- At times, may cover an area with multiple venues depending on scheduling and business needs.
Additional Information
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsible for the safe, efficient, and friendly operation of the venues daily as well as the safety of the Team Members who work at these venues.
