Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store when acting as the Manager on Duty.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by understanding and practicing safe behaviors, immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
• Ensure the security of the building, including controlling access points, performing EAS device checks, managing cash office security, and handling armored carrier pickups.
• Manage customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and following emergency procedures. Test fire alarm systems and respond to after-hours alarms.
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect, demonstrating courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times, maintaining a professional appearance and ensuring all associates adhere to the Company Dress Code.
• Ensure all areas of the store are clean, well-maintained, and merchandised to standard, removing clutter and ensuring safe egress to emergency exits.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed, such as loss prevention, front end supervision, fitting rooms, and administrative duties.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
