About the role
The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. They ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain a clean work area, execute and supervise Company operational processes, and manage various aspects of store operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by understanding safety is the number one priority and practicing safe behaviors.
- Ensure customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and executing emergency procedures.
- Manage the Store’s front-end operations, including cash registers, shortage control, and training associates on best practices.
- Supervise fitting rooms, ensuring their cleanliness and compliance with Company policy.
- Execute Company Best Practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches.
- Manage administrative duties such as cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Special Skills
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 25 lbs.
- Use of janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
Qualifications
- Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 lbs. for Stockroom shifts.
