Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the Store and general operations when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision, and fitting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed
• Manage associates, train and coach on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures
• Control retail associates' break schedule, ensure equipment is working properly, maintain proper supplies, and expedite go backs
• Maintain pace, energy, and "presence" at the Front End
• Manage fitting rooms, ensure go-back compliance, and maintain cleanliness
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Special Skills

• Physical requirements: able to stand, walk, and move around the Store; bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs; use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies

Qualifications

• Associates who work Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs
