Area Supervisor
About the role
The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining safe and secure environments, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision and operations, and fitting rooms.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
- Immediately correct or report any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
- Respond to after-hours alarms when requested.
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
- Manage associates' break schedules, ensure proper supplies and recovery for the Front End area, and expedite go backs.
- Train and coach associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures.
- Maintain pace, energy, and "presence" at the Front End to manage customer wait time.
- Ensure all equipment is working properly and controls retail associates' break schedule.
- Teach all associates the "Scan and Bag" best practice.
- Ensure salability of merchandise on the Front End, aisle tables, Men's/Women's 4-way features, and specialty racks.
- Maintain the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms, ensure all garment tags are audited and accounted for to Company policy, and ensure go-back compliance throughout the day.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $18.50. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location.
Schedule
The Area Supervisor may work evenings and weekends to support store operations.
