Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by understanding and practicing safe behaviors, immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Ensure customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and following emergency procedures.
• Manage the store’s front-end operations, including cash registers, shortage control, and training associates on best practices.
• Supervise fitting rooms, ensuring their cleanliness and adherence to company policies.
• Execute administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, such as cash handling, payroll administration, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Special Skills

• Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, and move around the store, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.; use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
