Area Supervisor
About the role
The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the Store and general operations when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision, and fitting rooms.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment
- Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
- Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed
- Manage associates, train and coach on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures
- Control retail associates' break schedule, manage the line to expedite customer wait time, and ensure proper supplies and recovery for the Front End area
- Ensure salability of merchandise on the Front End, aisle tables, Men's/Women's 4-way features, and specialty racks
- Maintain the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms, ensure all garment tags are audited and accounted for to Company policy, and ensure go-back compliance throughout the day
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
- Ability to work evenings and weekends

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $17.42 - $17.92. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location.
Schedule
Hours may vary depending on store needs and may require evening and weekend work.
