Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. They are responsible for opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and other leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed
• Manage front-end operations, fitting rooms, and administrative duties

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, and move around the store, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.; use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
• Supervisory responsibilities: Retail Associates, Stockroom Leads (where applicable)
