Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, customer service, merchandise management, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment by understanding and practicing safety protocols, immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions, and performing regular security checks.
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect, demonstrating courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
• Manage the front-end operations, train and coach associates, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and compliance with company guidelines.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager, such as cash handling, payroll administration, and inventory management.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
