Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations and supervision when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, customer service, merchandise management, loss prevention, and front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Manage customer service by treating all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and recognizing associates using Company recognition programs.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage the fitting rooms by ensuring their maintenance and cleanliness, auditing garment tags, and enforcing go-back compliance.
• Supervise associates at the front end, manage the line to expedite customer wait time, and train on cash register procedures.
• Perform administrative duties such as cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
• Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
• Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
