Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations and supervision. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, customer service, merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Manage customer service by treating all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and recognizing associates using Company recognition programs.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage loss prevention by safeguarding confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise, conducting "Code 50" package inspections, and maximizing productivity.
• Supervise the front end by ensuring associates execute to Company standards, managing the line to expedite customer wait time, and training associates on cash registers and shortage control policies.
• Oversee fitting rooms by maintaining their cleanliness and ensuring go-back compliance.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
