Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage customer service by treating all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and demonstrating courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times, maintaining a professional appearance and ensuring all associates adhere to the Company Dress Code.
• Manage loss prevention by understanding and complying with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintaining a high customer service presence on the sales floor.
• Supervise front-end operations by ensuring associates execute to Company standards, managing the line to expedite customer wait time, and training and coaching associates on cash registers and other front-end procedures.
• Manage fitting rooms by ensuring garments are audited and accounted for to Company policy and merchandise returned to the sales floor is ticketed, scanned, nubbed, and security tagged.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager, including conducting cash pulls and bank deposits, controlling break schedules, and ensuring proper supplies and recovery for the front-end area.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
