Responsibilities
- Manages a team of outside field personnel
- Directs work to at least two or more other full-time employees
- Has the authority to hire and fire other employees
- Establishes and builds relationships with direct reports through monthly job site visits
- Conducts annual performance reviews and supports employee development
- Daily travel to job site locations; observations and associated reporting based on designated area
- Builds positive client, State DOT and Local Municipal relationships within designated area
- Oversees pre-construction management process including client meetings, internal job leads meetings and other communication as required
- Serves as subject matter expert for internal office staff with regards to order requirements such as personnel and equipment needs
- Meets with Field Manager on daily/weekly basis to review Crew Leaders' and Advanced Crew Leader's performance and associated metrics
- Completes and submits daily reporting by way of work zone observations
- Affords assistance to the safety department with the investigation of incidents when requested
- Responsible for fleet telematics and related driver coaching
- Professionally represents the organization to clients, employees and the public
- Serves as the primary point of contact for HR requests and subsequent delivery of related discipline, in accordance with company guidelines and established timelines
- Works collaboratively and communicates frequently with other departments
- Makes recommendations to Field Manager for field staff promotions as needed
- Attends and participates in various department meetings as necessary
- Conducts, attends and participates in random quarterly, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug tests

- Strong verbal, written, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Developed leadership skills including conflict resolution, and ability to coach and train people and teams
- Ability to positively influence people and situations in a fast-paced environment and build trust and support optimal outcomes
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage time effectively
- Ability to manage high stress scenarios and environments
- Proficient computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
